This was an experiment in a new style, more "Comic book" than I've done before, and I have to say that based on this evidence, I'm happy with how it turned out.
The image features Silva, the partly mechanical ex-soldier, my longest running artistic creation. A full third bionics (her left arm, several ribs, right leg and parts of her face) after being caught in an explosion, she's a hardened combat veteran who insisted on numerous weapons being built into her replacement arm - including the "Wolverine claws".
The other guy is nameless and entirely new, just some poor guy for her to kick around.
Now, I admit there's some artistic licence in this image, like her mis-matched trouser legs, which have no practical use other than to bare her bionic leg. If you want me to hand-wave it, it's to stop her trousers getting caught in her knee joint.
On other artistic notes, I had considered adding a background, but decided to leave it for now - maybe later though.
Finally, why is it called "Excessive force"? Suffice to say, I cannot think of any good real world reason for her opponent to be violently inverted. Evidently, she got a little carried away.
PS: I've limited the basic display size to make it reasonably viewable on a normal screen - full size image available for download.
Thank you. It's great to get feedback on my work. It's definitely one of my favourite pieces of work so far, as fun to draw and one of my best end results to date.
Mind you, it's almost always fun to draw Silva - she's just one of those characters to me, with a long run of history. Not unexpected that she has such history, as although she wasn't the character that started me off into doing art, she was the one that kept me going. The character that originally set me off, Sean - he might see a return, but he's not been on paper as much as Silva - she certainly has the lead on him in terms of the number of pictures she shows up in.
